Software Engineer — Python
Engines Team | Mid | 3–6 Years Experience
The Role:
The Python Software Engineer will help develop and maintain Python packages that implement healthcare policies, supporting the Engines team that powers Rialtic’s core payment accuracy logic. You will contribute to CI pipelines, containerized cloud applications, and collaborate with a remote team of engineers with diverse backgrounds.
What You Will Do:
• Develop and maintain Python packages that implement healthcare payment policies
• Maintain CI pipelines and GitLab templates for engines, libraries, and reference data packages
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of containerized cloud applications
• Support other engineering teams with shared tooling and processes
• Write well-tested, reliable code with a focus on quality and maintainability
What You Bring:
• 3–6 years of overall software development experience with
- Web Development Frameworks: Proficient in Django, Flask, or FastAPI for building scalable web applications.
- Database Management: Expertise in databases like SQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB for handling data storage and integration.
- Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration.
- Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure for deploying applications.
• Demonstrated involvement in the same software project over an extended period
• Experience with Python dependency management, packaging, and publishing tools
• Proficiency with Shell scripting, Git, and continuous integration workflows
• Capacity to self-teach, adapt to change, and contribute with a growth mindset
Nice to Have:
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering
• Experience with AWS, GitLab CI, Kubernetes, or Docker
• Background working in a startup environment
